Many know me as the bushman and this is my story.
I was born long time ago, on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro, a forested area teaming with various species of animals and birds. walking to school 6 kilometers away through the forest, was the love of my life. Meeting with a herd of elephants was dangerous to most but for me, it always presented an opportunity to watch them while hidden in the bushes. Every end of the day, while doing homework, I would also be trying to imitate the sounds of the animals and birds that I had heard. And the love of animals and nature was born in me.
Fast forward, I went to the leading tourism and hospitality college in Africa, the Kenya Utalii college, where I studied Tour guiding, French and Japanese languages, and animal behaviors. That was not enough. I enrolled in Oxford College, Gibraltar (UK) to study Zoology and graduated with diploma.
I was employed by a leading tour company, A&K (Abercrombie & Kent) as a driver/guide, then another reputable tour company, Kenya wildlife Trails, as a senior safari guide and travel consultant. In 2006, I decided to quit employment and run into the bush, to be with the animals, photograph them, make stories of them, learn some more, and most important, share those moments with those who love nature.
When man moves away from nature his heart becomes hard.
